Job Description:

First Baptist Church of Big Stone Gap, Virginia is prayerfully seeking God's plan for our Director of Education and Outreach position. The qualified candidate will have completed a bachelors degree and have some work toward or the completion of a Master's Degree with some work experience in a church setting. Joining the existing staff, this "combo" position will require a self motivated and energetic person willing to take the lead in several areas. Primary duties include: the day to day operations management of the church, organizing and facilitating all areas of Christian Education from Senior Adults to Primary schoolers, organizing and facilitating all areas of the church's outreach ministry, filling the pulpit in the absence of the Senior Pastor. First Baptist is located in the beautiful and historic Powell Valley in Southwest Virginia. A great location for younger families, the area offers quality schools and many cultural activities. First Baptist is affiliated with the Wise Baptist Association and the Baptist General Association of Virginia.
