Position: Director of Contemporary Worship (25 hours/week) - Organizes, coordinates, and leads all elements of the Contemporary Worship Ministry; leading people to Connect to God; dreaming and designing future developments of Contemporary worship.

Accountable to: Director of Worship

Responsible for:
Planning, coordinating, and executing weekly Contemporary Worship Services to include all elements of the contemporary services (e.g. Sound/Tech; Drama; Arts; Set up…); tying in the relevant theme as determined by the worship planning team(s) and the pastor.
Overseeing weekly Praise Team and Praise Choir ministry practice.
Recruiting, Developing, and Deploying worship leaders, praise choir & praise team members.
Providing chord sheets, worship flow, and all other tools needed by the teams, utilizing the best relevant technology.
Working with the sound/tech staff position in the CLC.

Vocal and instrumental expertise in contemporary styles of music
Worship leader, band leader and ensemble/choir leader experience
Ability to arrange and chart music.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor degree preferred
Demonstrated Success planning and executing Contemporary worship
Demonstrated Skills in communication and organization
Track record of successful recruitment/equipping/training of volunteers

Additional Responsibilities:
Participates as a member of the Worship Planning Team(s)
Work in coordination with Traditional Worship Director to plan additional worship services as appropriate
Works with Director of Worship to vision / dream future contemporary services
Attends planning and visioning meetings as determined by Director of Worship
