Job Description:

POSITION: Part-Time Worship Leader

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grow in knowledge and love of Jesus Christ
- Knowledge of music notation
- Knowledge of worship music genre (traditional and contemporary)
- Ability to create and be comfortable with a blended format of traditional and contemporary worship
- Ability to translate printed music into sounds
- Experience in worship music
- Ability to work with people
- Keyboarding and piano ability is a plus
- Will fully support contemporary praise music and style

REPORTS TO:
- Pastor
- Staff/Pastor Parish Committee

DUTIES:
- Attends and leads all scheduled praise team practices
- Helps to lead holiday/special services
- Selects and prepares music for Sunday worship
- Will create worship service plan through use of PowerPoint and other worship programs (Service Developer)
- Coordinate worship service and praise team planning through use of Planning Center Online website
- Has budget to work with as approved by Church Council
- Works closely with Pastor and Worship Committee to enhance music ministry of the Church, including coordinating and
complementing the music with the worship service
- Meet weekly with Pastor to plan Sunday worship and sermon series
- Attends worship committee meetings
- Will be open to multimedia technology for music in worship (laptop computer, projector, screen, etc.)
- Recruit new members to the praise team
- Perform special music selections in worship services
- Accompany the church choir on piano
- Annual evaluation by Pastor with Staff/Pastor-Parish Committee
- Available for special requests by Pastor
