Job Description:
The Fine Arts Coordinator will oversee the use of various art forms within the church.

I. General Areas of Responsibility:
a.) Conduct regularly scheduled rehearsals and performances of the Worship Team.
b.) Assist Lead Pastor in worship planning (design weekly worship and special services).
c.) Oversee the administration and budget of the fine arts department.
d.) Serve as worship leader; actively recruit and train a wide range of others to do so as well.
e.) Provide direction in the development of other art forms (e.g., dance, worship visuals, video, etc.).
f. Oversee worship service media presentations.

II. Essential Characteristics:
a.) A vital relationship with Jesus Christ, which is clearly demonstrated in lifestyle, commitment to prayer, and Biblical knowledge
b.) A love and understanding of people of all ages
c.) An ability to function as part of a team, offering and accepting advice and undergoing evaluations
d.) Effective written and verbal skills
e.) Commitment to “equipping the saints for the work of the ministry”
f.) A willingness to creatively and imaginatively complete the tasks outlined in this profile
g.) Understanding of and commitment to the values and vision of SVCC

III. Working Conditions:
a.) Ability to provide own transportation to perform principle responsibilities
b.) Physical, mental and sensory requirements:
i. Physical mobility: sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, manual dexterity to operate a keyboard,
lifting/holding/carrying objects up to 15 pounds
ii. Mental effort: reading, writing, calculating, analyzing, visualizing
iii. Sensory requirements: ability to read printed material and information on a PC; ability to communicate and respond to
others in person and over the phone
iv. Ability to handle varying levels of stress
c.) Proficiency in basic computer skills, including PowerPoint

IV. Accountability:
The Fine Arts Coordinator will be accountable to the Leadership Team through the Lead Pastor.

V. Adaptability:
