Position: Media Technician / FOH Engineer
Ministry Area: Media
Accountable to: Technical Director

As part of our Technical Team at The Ark Church (located in Conroe, Texas), you will participate in planning, set-up, operation and maintenance of audio, video, and lighting equipment for Sunday and Wednesday worship services, conferences, and special events. This position will have a strong emphasis on Audio.

This position is designed for a self-initiating, motivated, problem-solving action-oriented person. Organization and administration are a must with the flexibility to follow the leader-of-the-day, respond quickly and efficiently to on-call situations.

Talents & Abilities:
•Minimum of 3 years experience in FOH mixing for Live/Worship setting
•Experience in audio/video/lighting equipment setup, installation, and operation
•Proficient with ProPresenter 4
•Live Video Technical Direction
•Experience with Mac OSX, Windows XP, and Vista
•Knowledge of large format audio consoles (Analog & Digital)
•Excellent initiative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
•Possess a servant?s heart
•Ability to work under pressure while maintaining deadlines
•Professional completion of time sensitive tasks related to weekly events and services
•An effective troubleshooter with a cool head
•Dependable, self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative
•Not willing to cut corners

Responsibilities & Duties
•FOH Engineer for Sunday and Wednesday services, and special events ? (30%)
•Assist in maintaining Audio, Video, and Lighting equipment for service and security
•Assist other ministries with Technical needs as directed ? (30%)
•Setup, install, maintain, and operate audio/video/lighting systems equipment ? (30%)
•Provide Audio expertise for purchases, installations and outside events
•Maintain A/V systems for all needed rooms and venues

FOH ENGINEER: (30%)
•FOH Engineer for Sunday and Wednesday services
•Operate FOH for rehearsals
•Provide Technical expertise and advice on FOH systems
•Experience with In-Ear and on-stage monitor mixing
•Setup/Strike stage and other venues as required

INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, AND SERVICE OF EQUIPMENT: (30%)
•Assist with planning of Audio, Video, Lighting, and Structured Cabling installations
•Document installation(s)
•Technical equipment problem solving
•Installation of Audio, Video, Lighting, and Structure Cabling
•Provide routine maintenance of Technical Equipment
•Prepare Project Budgets on future Technical Projects
•Follow Directions
•An eye for detail and quality

VIDEO PRODUCTION TEAM: (30%)
•Provide Technical Direction for Services and Special Events
•Switch Live Cameras for IMAG, Webcasting, Recording
•Efficient with ProPresenter 4
•Knowledgeable with various Computer based Broadcast Mixing Systems

STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES: (10%)
•Attend required meetings
•Prepare time sheets
•Meet with other departments to assist with Technical needs
•Managing volunteers and production sheets through PlanningCenterOnline.com

Schedule: 25-30 hours per week
Will require evening and weekend work to support various events and functions.
Currently weekly services includes Sunday and Wednesday worship services, and Thursday rehearsals.

Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate
Based on experience and qualifications.
