Job Description:

Berean Baptist Church is a healthy, multi-generational congregation located in Burnsville, Minnesota, a "South Metro" suburb of the Twin Cities. We are searching for our next contemporary worship director/pastor, who will have an incredible opportunity to shape the future of contemporary worship at Berean.

Berean exists to honor Jesus Christ, strengthen believers and serve others. Our mission is to make more and deeper disciples, serving as the living church in our community and worldwide. Our congregation is known for Bible-based preaching and discipleship, a unique diversity of worship styles for its 1400+ worshipers, a strong missions emphasis, generosity, community, loving care, and enthusiastic volunteerism. Berean's robust programming serves children, students, families, men, women, and mature members.

The candidate will:

--have a heart for the Lord and His church, for people, and for God's mission in our community

--be passionate for bringing authentic, creative worship relevant for Gen Y, engaging for Gen X, and conducive to leading God's people into worship

--have academic training and/or vocational experience that evidences a biblical and theological grounding for worship and the ability to be licensed and mentored as a pastor

--bring musical abilities, including proficiency in at least one musical instrument, that will give him credibility with musicians, and technical aptitudes that will enable him to leverage our technical resources

--have the character of a New Testament leader (1 Tim. 3), increasing godliness and holiness, a zeal for growing in his walk with God, and a sense of call in vocational ministry
