Serve as one of the spiritual leaders of the church with specific responsibility for Student Ministry. Provide leadership in the church by developing, managing, and coordinating an effective and comprehensive Student Ministry. Evangelize, baptize, serve in the ordinances of the church, guide, teach, and nurture the prospect and member in spiritual growth to meet the broad needs of the church and the Mission Statement of STF. Provide leadership, training, and supervision to staff and volunteer ministry staff and parents. Develop and advance 6th– 12th grade aged students – as well as college students – in our church, community and city in becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.

• College degree
• 3-5 years experience in youth ministry or equivalent life experiences
Specific Responsibilities
High School Youth Program
• Sunday night 268 High School program – effectively communicate God’s word – facilitate worship, games, refreshments, etc. to create a welcoming environment for High School Students
Middle School Youth Program
• Wednesday evening Big House Middle School program – work with Middle School Director to effectively communicate God’s Word and assist in creating a High Impact worship experience.
• Assist Middle School Director in finding video enhancements, creating dramas or skits, working with technical services to help with ministry needs, etc.
• Oversee special events (i.e. Movies, bowling, scavenger hunts, etc.) following every Sunday over the summer and on special occasions when there is no school for students the following Monday.
Spiritual Growth
• Oversee Sunday Morning Bible studies ensuring teachers have everything they need for the lessons and finding subs for them if they are unable to make it one week.
• Recruit and direct One-on-One Mentoring Ministry including maintaining and overseeing adult-student mentoring ministry, regularly contacting adult mentors by email or phone to ensure things are going well with their student.
• Actively create and maintain individual discipleship relationships with students.
• Pray for students, for their relationship with the Lord to begin, grow and to mature.
• Challenge students to be leaders and young men and women of influence in their school, on their sports teams, in their extra-curricular activities and within the youth group.
• Establish and staff an outreach to local college students.
Related Ministries
• Provide opportunities for spiritual growth through camps, retreats, special events, mission trips (domestic or international), etc.
• Support and champion other church related student ministries (Revelation Choir etc.)
• Champion other area outreach ministries to youth (First Priority, FCA, etc.)
• Partner with parents by providing training and information via regularly planned parent meetings, seminars, mass communication (email, informational letters, ads in church bulletins, phone calls, etc.)
