New Venture Christian Fellowship has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our talented team! This position will provide support to Executive Pastoral Office(s) through professional, administrative, and technical skills, benefitting the overall mission and vision of the church by contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of Pastoral duties and leadership.

New Venture Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational church located in the community of Oceanside, North San Diego County. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manages all administrative tasks pertaining to the Pastoral Offices including but not limited to:
o Writing, preparing and disseminating all correspondence, documents and other materials, including transcription and dictation.
o Handling all calls, messages and in-office traffic.
o Maintain and communicate calendars, scheduling all appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, speaking engagements, et al.
o Prepare, categorize, file and update message outlines and illustrations for the Pastoral Office in a timely manner for use in church materials. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator preferred; training available.
Act as a liaison in representing the Pastoral Offices to the NVCF support staff, the public, and other ministry or business leaders.
Maintain and provide daily electronic reports to the Pastoral Office of scheduled appointments/meetings and other pertinent information.
Field “crisis calls” and emergencies pertaining to the Pastoral Office, as well as details relating to “body life” (i.e., births, deaths, sickness, staff concerns, etc.) and community support (i.e., Pastoral involvement with memorial services, baby dedications, weddings, etc.)
Work with other support staff on specific projects such as coordination of partners, or other projects as needed based on ministry needs.

Areas of responsibility and accountability may change occasionally, based upon the responsibilities and needs of the ministry.

Participate as a church staff team member in weekly devotions and other events/responsibilities as required.
Ability to work flexible and/or overtime hours if required to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor, servant’s heart and “can-do” attitude.

Education and Skills required
High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum five years administrative experience.
Preference given to candidates with church-related experience
Strong computer skills required; highly proficient in Adobe and Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Illustrator, Power Point, etc.
Type 60+ WPM.
Team player with leadership and teaching skills.
MUST be able to multi-task while maintaining fastidious attention to detail.
MUST have strong communication and writing skills.
MUST be able to handle a fast-paced, high-standard, high demand office setting.
MUST be flexible, teachable and able to follow direction provided.
MUST have a strong professional demeanor and be able to represent Pastors on an Executive Level.
