Job Description:

Hill Country Bible Church NW is seeking a leader for our Generations Team that includes Children’s, Students’, Young Adults’, Worship, and College Ministry. This is a unique opportunity to partner with families and our community to capture the hearts of the next generation for Christ. From preschoolers to 20-somethings, we believe that spiritual formation will result in them bringing the grace and truth of Jesus Christ to their community. We encourage ongoing growth through discipleship, community, intergenerational worship, and engagement with people groups within our city. Austin is one of the known creative and entrepreneurial centers of the US. This is a great opportunity for an individual that thrives in this kind of environment and would have the desire to be a significant leader in this church within a constantly changing culture.

This person will work under the direction of the Executive Pastor to lead and develop the Pastors and Directors on the Generations Team made up of 40 full and part time staff. Leadership development through coaching and strategic implementation is central to this position. This person will be closely involved with the individuals on their team and lead incarnationally by close involvement with their ministries. This person will also have influence in the formulation and execution of new churchwide initiatives, and be a part of strategic decision making for these ministries.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Executive Pastor role at a church of at least 4,000 (Sunday worship attendance) and have a history of managing a large team of direct reports. Experience in discipleship and spiritual formation of the next generation (children thru young adults), and evidence of having grown a ministry significantly are also must haves for this position.

Hill Country Bible Church is a non-denominational family of believers in Austin, Texas with 3 Sunday morning venues and approximately 5000 in worship. We believe most ministry happens outside of Sunday morning through relationships and community, and we are intentional in supporting those efforts throughout our church body.
