Job Description:
Seeking a part-time Worship Leader for a church that has a blended style of worship: music lead by a worship band, singing praise chorus songs and hymns. The pastor is the supervisor of this position and the person also works with office staff, volunteers including ushers, musicians, and sound and media technicians. Reports to pastor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide direction and leadership to Worship Music for Sunday morning worship services
2. Meet weekly with pastor to discuss worship service and other church-related issues
3. Work collaboratively with pastor in integrating Sunday morning music with other aspects of the service, e.g., PowerPoint presentations
4. Arrange regular music (offertory, solo, ensemble, etc.)
5. Occasionally coordinate worship space issues with two tenant congregations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. A vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
2. An evident love for people
3. Vocal and instrumental proficiency (guitars and keyboard preferred)
4. Proven ability to work effectively as a team leader and team member
5. Knowledge of worship music, hymns and an ability to incorporate both in the worship setting
6. Skillful oral communication
7. Flexibility to lead worship within a Reformed theology and tradition
8. Desire to gain and expand skills and knowledge of worship leadership
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
1. Worship leadership in a church setting
2. Recruitment and leadership of volunteers
3. Music arrangement
4. Use of multi-media in worship
TERMS OF THE POSITION
Salary: $15,000-16,000 commensurate with experience
Hours: 10-11 per week

APPROXIMATE WEEKLY BREAKDOWN OF HOURS
Sunday Mornings: 3-4 hours
Rehearsal, Preparation and Training: 4-5 hours
Staff Meetings: 2 hours
