Lake Arlington Baptist Church is looking for a young energetic team oriented worship leader to assist our Creative Arts Pastor in the worship leading throughout our church. JOB FUNCTION:
The Music Pastor’s primary responsibility is to assist the Creative Arts Pastor in the worship ministries of Lake Arlington Baptist Church. This person must be skilled in the area of band leadership and have a strong desire to mentor and train young worship leaders. Guitar ability is preferred but not required.
• The Music Pastor must have received appropriate formal training or possess an equivalent level of experience and skill for this position.
• Ability to lead a band for worship.
• Ability to lead congregational worship
• Ability to work with people, build teams, and initiate tasks
• Possess strong interpersonal relational skills and positive conflict resolution abilities
• A degree in music from a recognized school is optimal.
In conjunction with the Creative Arts Team (Senior Pastor, Spiritual Development Pastor, Music Pastor, Media Pastor, etc.) develop and implement, as needed, worship experiences for Sunday mornings.
Assist with on-stage leadership of our main worship services
Provide creative input to seasonal productions
Rehearse and develop a schedule for all band persons involved in each worship experience
Lead the Youth worship services, as well as, mentoring and training young adult worship leaders.
Recruit members for band
Help Creative Arts Pastor develop music, and chord charts for all worship services. Applicant must be very familiar with Finale, Sibelius, or other music notation software.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Creative Arts Pastor.
