Baldwin Community Church is seeking a candidate for Senior Pastor. Baldwin Community Church is a nondenominational Christian church in Todd, North Carolina. We have approximately 150 members with an average attendance on Sunday morning of around 80, which is good considering we do not have a pastor at this time. We are in a rural community and our church was founded in 1940. We worship in a traditional/blended style along the lines of ***Wesleyan-Armenian doctrine*** and have multiple ministries, including children’s church, teen youth group and several Sunday school classes that are age specific. We have a vision for building a new church and God has blessed us with 20+ acres of land which has been paid in full and is ready for the vision to be fulfilled. We are open to growth, desire to bring the lost to Jesus Christ, minister to the poor, reach out to the people of our community and people in rest homes and taking care of those especially of the household of God.
We are seeking a Godly Senior Pastor that will share the above desires with us and see them fulfilled and be able to follow God’s leading for future vision and growth, one who is passionate about God’s Word and its application to our everyday lives. We would like the Senior Pastor to be gifted in teaching in a manner that enhances spiritual growth for our believers and encourages peoples to come into a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
We also desire a Senior Pastor who preaches the truth from the Bible, participates as a team member, and who leads by example. The Senior Pastor will be chairman of and work closely with the church board, operate as the spiritual leader of the church, serving primarily as the preacher, teacher, and shepherd.
Our Senior Pastor is responsible to: preach/teach from God’s Word; equip our congregation for ministry; lead the congregation in our outreach to the community; work with the church board to develop future plans; assist the members in caring for the needs of our church and working with our youth including developing youth programs and encouraging the youth in areas of evangelism and individual spiritual gifts and growth. Pastoral duties would include preparing and delivering a weekly sermon on Sunday morning and Sunday night, leading prayer meetings, Wednesday night service and visiting congregational members, families, friends or any others as God would lead and those in hospitals/nursing homes. He would also be performing marriages, baptisms, and funerals.
Applicants will be required to submit resumes to Baldwin Community Church for review and prayer. We promise to fervently pray and seek God’s will concerning any applicant.
Salary and benefits are set by the pulpit committee and will be discussed individually with applicants.
