Job Description:

Christ Church at Grove Farm is a non-denominational evangelical church worshiping in the Anglican tradition. We offer a variety of worship styles, from blended traditional/contemporary to modern rock-driven, which takes place in two separate venues. Though our services are different in style, they are the same in substance.

Located on 46 acres in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, our facility provides 44,000 square feet of space which includes a dynamic children’s space. We have over 1400 who worship with us weekly and our membership continues to grow. Our senior pastor is the Rev. Dr. John Guest, who is a nationally known preacher and evangelist.

Christ Church is currently seeking a full-time Director of Children’s Ministries who will provide leadership and oversight to the spiritual formation of children through Sunday worship, weekly programs, summer camps, programs and special events. This position will also support and partner with parents in the development of biblical parenting skills so that families are being formed spiritually.

Our children’s ministry consists of over 300 children from birth through fifth grade and is ministry is supported by a professional staff person, eight paid babysitters and over 50 weekly volunteers.

Qualifications
• An adequate biblical education preferably at the college and graduate school level; three years of children’s ministry leadership experience; trained in child evangelism; and has a continuous desire to learn in order to become a more effective leader.
• Sound knowledge of Scripture and an ability to teach effectively applying Scriptural principles in all areas of ministry.
• A stable, mature and growing Christian with an exemplary personal, marital and family life (if applicable).
• Committed to teamwork within Children’s Ministry as well as with other staff and lay leaders within the church.
• In agreement with the doctrinal position of Christ Church at Grove Farm.
