Job Description:

Exodus Church for Bloomington (www.ExodusBloomington.org) seeks to hire a PASTOR OF ORGANIZATION AND SPIRITUAL FORMATION to partner with our current Pastor in shepherding our congregation to become people who hear and respond to the voice of Jesus, and release the life of God into others.

The key passions and activities of this new pastoral position are to help us:
-- CONNECT: create an organizational culture of spiritual friends and mentors (groups & teams)
-- EMPOWER: create an organizational culture of unleashing/releasing people & money into ministry.

The non-negotiable spiritual gifting required for this position:
-- LEADERSHIP: provide initiative, direction, and motivation to influence others
-- ADMINISTRATION: strategy and team development

We are looking for someone who has a proven “track record” in creating and facilitating organizational structures that enhance the spiritual growth of the both the church body, as a whole as well as its individual members.

This candidate will lead our Life Together* and Blessed to be a Blessing* initiatives among our people.

*Life Together is our desire and initiative to develop and nurture a culture of “spiritual friends and mentors” among the people of Exodus Church. This might be achieved through a variety of mechanisms – small groups, mid-size groups; one-time events, topical groups, etc.

*Blessed to be a Blessing is our desire and initiative be the people God called us, through Abraham, to be: “I will bless you…and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:2-3) This is reflected in various practical expressions, primarily through our budget in three main “give-money-away” areas: (1) local ministry opportunities; (2) blessing other local Christ-centered churches; and (3) cross-cultural ministries.

Exodus is located in Bloomington, Indiana, located 1 hour southwest of Indianapolis in the beautiful, hilly countryside of southern Indiana. Bloomington is also…

Compensation:
comparable with middle/high school Assistant Principal compensation in our local school corporation with experience and education as primary factors in determining salary.
