Ministry Description

T.A.G. is a thriving, family-focused ministry. Our vision is to “connect people…elevate lives." Consistent with our vision, we intend to touch the lives of young people in our local community and to provide an environment where they will experience the Word of God and develop a genuine-walking relationship with Christ. We desire to bring on board the person God has directed to grow the overall church ministry with emphasis in youth/college with longevity in mind. Facilities are in place and ready to go!

The Youth/College Pastor will “pastor” and “oversee” the spiritual growth and development of the young adults in this ministry under the direction of the Senior Pastor. The qualifications and key responsibilities of this position are:

Personal Qualifications:
Bible college and or equivalent years of youth pastorate experience.
Ability to correctly handle and teach the Word of God.
Heart for young people: desire to initiate and build relationships with them, to grow and evangelize their world.
Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to resolve conflicts and to confront the youth with the truth in love and understanding.
Team player, able to work in a multi-staff situation.

Ministry Responsibilities:
A. Pastor and coach the spiritual growth and development of the youth/college in the ministry
Oversee and refresh current programs including: services/missions/small groups/student leadership training/camps/retreats/discipleship.
Build relationships with parents: foster and maintain open communications with parents regarding their students
B. Recruitment and Training of ministry leaders
Oversee the recruitment leaders, develop screening and interview procedures
Conduct workshops and other means to train existing leaders
Disciple key student leaders to serve in the ministry and in the church
Monitor and mentor leaders
C. Others
Develop retreats, recreation activities, service activities, educational trips, and seminars for age-appropriate and intergenerational groups
Encourage and provide outlets for students to develop “Fine Art” gifting ( ie. music, drama, writing, video, etc.)
Integrate youth/college programs with the total ministry of the church by coordinating with staff/lay leaders/pastors
