Job Description:

The Worship Leader at Bay Shore leads each gathering into a worship
experience that shows life is truly found in Jesus. He or she is a leader
who creates an experience where the audience holds nothing back in their
worship for God. Stylistically, the music will generally be high energy and
diverse. Success is defined as strategically aligning with the vision and
message through excellent worship.

CATALYTIC LEADER : Able to effectively engage & lead people into worship.
CONTINUAL LEARNER : Constantly listening and researching creative new ways
to engage the audience through music.
TEAM BUILDER : Can build teams and lead effectively.
RELATIONAL LEADER : Friendly and approachable.
TALENT SCOUT : Always on the lookout for new worship volunteers.
QUALITY MANAGER : Looking for ways to improve; sensitive to misses;
committed to excellence.
COMMUNICATOR : An effective communicator to further engage the audience into
worship.
CARRIER of the DNA : When you cut them, they bleed the mission, vision and
values of Bay Shore Community Church. Connect to God Connect to Others,
Serve the Community.
SOLUTION SPECIALIST : Able to identify problems and find solutions.
EXCELLENCE ALWAYS : Excellence isn't a one time thing. It's a habit. Our
worship environments reflect excellence.
VOLUNTEER CHAMPION : Set your volunteers up for success. Be ready each time
you meet with them and have a plan to make it worth their while. Value time.

worship experience possible, not the best worship experience within 15
miles.

worship.

learn.
ON BOARD : Knows Bay Shore's vision, passionate on fulfilling it; no
question on understanding method or philosophy.
LEADER AT HOME : No concerning spiritual or emotional health issues within
his or her family.
TIME MANAGER : Does not require external systems to prioritize; is
intrinsically motivated.
PERSON OF INTEGRITY : At the core, they make solid decisions based on
life-long values.
SELF-AWARE INDIVIDUAL : Knows where he/she is weak-finds others to fill in
those gaps.
DISCIPLE : Fully-devoted to following Jesus in everything they do.

JOB: The Worship Leader.

BUILD TEAMS : Identify, equip, empower and lead volunteers to fulfill the
vision through worship.
COMMUNICATES : Keeps his/her supervisor aware of the successes and struggles
by proactively and consistently sharing stories and reports.
IS AN EXPERT : He/she is constantly looking at what other model churches are
doing to engage both the audience and attracting the unchurched through
music.
IS FLEXIBLE : Jumps in to help wherever needed.
ADHERES : To the Bay Shore staff policies.
FOLLOWS : A leader, yes, but also a follower who will do everything possible
to make their supervisor, the lead pastor, and the leadership of Bay Shore a
success.
