Job Description:

Zion Christian Church in Troy, MI is a spirit filled church with a deep heritage in helping people come into the presence of the Lord through our times of corporate worship. At this time, we are seeking a worship pastor, skilled in the area of vocals and worship band with a deep relationship with Christ. The candidate should have at least 3 years experience as a Worship Pastor, leading worship and supervising the Worship Ministry in a congregation of over 600 members. This individual needs to be energetic, sensitive to the needs of a multigenerational congregation, willing to spend time developing the team and a highly motivated, independent worker. The primary focus will be to help the congregation move into a genuine worship experience at each service. This is a full-time position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the worship ministry
Skilled in many styles of worship music and able to lead rehearsals
Coordinate and develop worship services with the Senior Pastor including all areas of media
Recruit new worship team and band members

Skills:
Worship Leader – strong vocal and lead instrument (preferably guitar and/or keyboard)
Strong pastoral leadership skills – proven experience in developing worship teams and programs
Organized and able to lead large groups
Bachelor’s degree
Team Player – work with the Leadership Team for overall church life, growth and development
Holy Spirit filled
High level of excellence creatively and artistically
