Develops, coordinates, and leads all Children’s Ministries (Pre-K 3 through 5th Grade), partnering with parents and volunteers to lead children to Christ and to build the faith of Christian children. This is a part-time position - approximately 20 hours per week.
Developing and delivering Children’s messages during worship, reviewing curricula for all Children’s programs, providing leadership for weekly Sunday School, mid-week class/activities, and Vacation Bible School, and providing supervision and training for volunteers. Other duties as assigned.
•Lead a life reflective of God's will and solidly supportive of Lutheran beliefs, and faithfully uphold Family of Christ’s ministry in prayer.
•Committed to Family of Christ's Mission Statement: Reaching those who don’t yet know Jesus Christ by Strengthening and Equipping those who do.
•Regularly and faithfully attend worship services and Holy Communion at Family of Christ.
•Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field and/or equivalent Christian teaching experience is preferred.
•Demonstrated leadership skills.
•Ability to relate Bible and theology at appropriate learning levels.
•Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers.
•Strong team player who enjoys being a part of high performance teams, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with children as well as adults, long-range planning skills, ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
