The Worship Leader is responsible for developing a comprehensive music ministry that is consistent with the vision of Mansfield Bible Church which is “Equipping and empowering people to think eternally act locally and beyond for the cause of Christ and His glory.”

• A vital personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
• Skill set relevant to the position of ministry
• Committed to studying the scriptures
• Committed to living and modeling a godly lifestyle
• Excited about facilitating the spiritual growth of the Body of Christ
• Creative, has a passion for music and worship, high energy, hard working, and able to motivate others
• Able to teach tenets of the Christian faith and how to apply these to life situations through a music ministry.
• Capable of effective, relevant communication with church members, volunteers and staff
• Musical skills for teaching, leading and organizing a music ministry.
• Has other essential skill sets necessary for music ministry
• Leads worship in authentic and genuine manner.

• Lead the congregation in multiple services of various styles including contemporary, blended and traditional.
• Organize, lead and equip a worship team
• Organize and encourage special presentations (soloists, ensembles, dramatizations, etc.)
• Foster the growth (both spiritually and musically) of those who have a desire to serve God through the use of their musical talents
• Effectively communicate God’s Word through the use of music
• Oversee budget and expenditures for the music ministries
• Faithfully attend church services and church wide activities
• Other duties as assigned

• A Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university desirable but not required
• Demonstrated leadership in music ministry in a church or Para church organization
• Seminary training and/or degree desirable
• If no college or seminary then three years related experience and/or training desirable

• Maintain a full time work schedule
• Participate in weekly staff meetings to pray, discuss upcoming events, challenges, solutions and praises
• Work with the rest of the MBC staff to build a strong sense of teamwork
• Cooperate fully with Elders for the good of the church

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others in today's culture is approachable and easy to talk to.
• Openness, integrity and honesty in interpersonal relationships
• Fully supports the philosophy of Mansfield Bible Church
• A strategic thinker in regards to ministry needs and vision
• The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations, as well as the ability to work independently
• Takes appropriate initiative to do ministry without requiring someone to tell them what to do
• Excellence in planning, priority setting and execution
• Able to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems is important
• Proficient and innovative in the use of worship presentation software
• Serves as requested for weddings, funerals and other special services
