Job Description:

. This position offers the opportunity to work with the entire church community, focusing on three areas of ministry. The Assistant Pastor’s primary responsibility is to build upon a successful children and youth ministry. He or she also works with the Membership Committee to ensure that we live out our vision of offering a welcoming environment to visitors and new members, and integrating new members into the life of our congregation. The Assistant Pastor also leads our outreach efforts to the sick and shut in.
The successful candidate will have:
• a Baccalaureate degree
• a theology that enables him or her to minister within a progressive United Methodist Church
• either paid or volunteer experience in the local church
• strong interpersonal skills that enable him or her to work with a team
• the ability to recruit and nurture volunteers
