Worship Pastor Job Summary

We’re looking for a high-capacity musician, singer, and worship leader who is responsible for mentoring, recruiting, training, equipping and deploying the 50 plus worship volunteers of CTK.

You should be:
• A gifted musician and vocalist
• A natural communicator who understands the flow of worship
• A humble servant who is appropriately confident but not driven by “the show”
• A team player who wants to contribute creatively to our worship environments and experiences
• A person who “speaks band”
• A leader with a heart to equip other worship leaders

You will:
• Lead an amazing group of volunteers who love Jesus
• Lead at least one worship team while coaching others
• Encourage our volunteers to worship God in spirit and in truth

You must:
• Love collaborating with other creative types (no flaky, artistic hissy fits allowed)
• Recruit, inspire and lead volunteer teams
• Be able to create a deep trusting relationship with our teaching team so as to work in concert and in sync with our creative direction
• Communicate well with people so as to create a sense of community within the artistic community of CTK
• Be comfortable functioning in the context of large staff teams
• Be able to manage worship teams at multiple sites

You should have:
• Leadership gifts that attract and inspire others
• The ability to administrate and delegate
• A solid work ethic that enjoys getting the job done
• A deep love for lost and broken people
• A desire to grow spiritually as a deeply devoted follower of Jesus
• The ability to learn CTK culture so that you can speak the language of the people
• A love for writing original music out of our church experience
• A recording background that would allow you to feel comfortable in a studio
• The ability to play nice with other kids in the sand box
• The ability to be flexible

You get to:
• Breathe the purest air in the country
• Live between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. and be within a one hour drive of the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific ocean
• Become a coffee connoisseur to the point where you can distinguish between Starbucks, Seattle’s Best and Tully’s (if you don’t know what those are – relax – we can help)
• Work alongside of a group of people who desperately love Jesus and want to change the spiritual landscape of one of the most unchurched parts of the country
• Laugh – a lot!

We will provide:
• A solid medical, dental and retirement benefit package for you and your family
• Top notch administrative assistant to assist you in your ministry
• Every technological tool you will need to do your ministry
• Office space, cool chair, sticky notes and a phone (there is a lot more here but I don’t want to bore you)

We promise to:
• Love Jesus more than anything
• Love you and your family (if you have one) so that you can be a successful spouse and parent before you are a successful pastor – we are a family first church.
• Be honest and transparent about every aspect of CTK
• Have your back
