Element Church – Groups & Connections Pastor

Abbreviated Job Description:
A forefront leader and developer of future leaders, collaborative bent (team player), a creative visionary, organized and structured, devoted to salvation and development process of assimilating people into Church Life.

Extended Job Description:
Element Church is looking for a talented, passionate leader that wants to help people connect with Christ and the Body of Christ. The Connections Pastor will report directly to the Executive Pastor and serve as a member of our Senior Leadership Team. We are hunting that person who has a passion for and experience in developing a Groups & Connections ministry. The Connections Pastor will be the director of connecting the unconnected within our church, which beyond Groups will be with systems to reach first-time guests and people who make decisions for Christ. We want someone with a “next level” mentality, looking to take this ministry to a new level of relational connectivity. They’re going to bring to the table answers to questions we didn’t even know we needed to ask! They may want to restructure what we have or make our current model more effective. We’re looking for a leader not just a doer, a team builder not just an employee.

What makes our heart beat:
Element Church is all about rescuing the lost and building up the saved. Our church launched a bit over 5 years ago, since then by the grace of God we were ranked as the 49th fastest growing church and the 9th greatest percentile of growth in America last year by Outreach Magazine. But as we grow big, we want to grow small, which is our motivation behind building a thriving Groups ministry. We are currently averaging 1,500 people a weekend. We run hard and fast and are consumed with a vision to reach people and inspire them to become fully devoted followers of Christ! Prior to planting Element Church, our Senior Pastor, Erik Lawson, had been in youth ministry for 16 years and had the privilege of helping build Oneighty, the youth ministry of Church On The Move in Tulsa, OK. Oneighty grew to become the largest youth ministry in the nation. At the time of his departure to plant Element they were averaging more than 2,500 teenagers each week.

The Groups & Connections Pastor looks something like this...

You are:
• A strong leader who is passionate/experienced in developing a volunteer team of Group leaders
• A leader with the ability to develop systems and processes as needed with an organized, detail oriented mindset
• A public speaker, able to train, empower and shepherd a team of Group leaders
• Able to work with others in a team environment
• Driven to make disciples and create new avenues for believers to grow in their faith
• Passionate almost to a fault
• Thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment
