Austin Ridge Bible Church (formerly Westlake Bible Church) is looking for a Children’s Ministry LEADER. ARBC is located on 78 amazing acres in west Austin – in the Texas Hill Country. Austin is a tremendous city to do ministry in, with many unchurched and dechurched individuals and families.
The average person in our auditorium on Sunday morning is married, has one or two small children, and is fairly affluent. We have about 1200 adults total in our three Sunday morning services, with another 300 youth 6th-12th grade, and then approximately 600 children birth through 5th grade. We are looking for a Pastor/Director to shepherd these 600+ children and their families.
ARBC needs an individual who loves kids, can connect with kids, but more importantly can administrate and lead a team. The best candidate will be a visionary leader who can motivate and oversee a paid staff of 6 (part-time and full-time), plus a volunteer base of over 200 people. This senior-level leader will also plan and direct many special events, as well as oversee a weekday preschool ministry (which is part of our Family Ministry umbrella). The Pastor/Director will report to our Executive Pastor.
The theology of ARBC allows only for men to be pastors, able to teach and shepherd at the congregational level. Men applying for the pastoral position must have seminary training and church experience. Men and women applying for the director position need not have a seminary degree, but should have appropriate experience in the field of Children’s Ministry. We will only consider candidates who have had pastor/director leadership experience in a larger church setting (500+ children in attendance on a Sunday morning).
