Job Description:
About Lakeside Community Church:
LCC is a strong seeker sensitive modern church in the northern suburbs of Detroit. Our vision is to see people LIVE FOR GOD, LOVE OTHERS, AND REACH THE WORLD. We celebrate God every Sunday, develop relationships in Small Groups, and participate in ministry and outreach opportunities continually. Almost 2 years ago we outgrew our building and became a "portable church" meeting in a High School Auditorium. This has launched us into the next phase of growth allowing us to have ample high quality space for our Sunday Service. Our people are predominantly young families in their 20's to 40's. We follow a philosophy based on the Purpose Driven Church and the Simple Church model. Some of our strengths are in our people's ownership in the ministry, the fantastic leadership of our senior pastor Dr. Ken Render (has been at Lakeside for 18 years), our great Student Ministry, and our community presence.

About our Worship Experience:
We want everything we do to be done with excellence. We have a fantastic full band of dedicated individuals who display humbleness and desire to lead in worship. Our style is a mix of current Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Fee, Lincoln Brewster, and David Crowder. Our portable situation has allowed us to purchase new professional equipment, including Aviom in-ear monitors, PODxt Live pedal boards, Roland V-Drums, Shure wireless mics, and a brand new sound system. Many times we work with click tracks and computer generated mixes as well. We also use www.planningcenteronline.com for our service organization and planning. Our strength is in our instrumentation, equipment, and congregational excitment. Our weak point right now is in the leadership and strength of our vocalists as well as knowledge of sound engineering.

About you:
We are seeking a person called to this ministry. This will start as a part-time position (100-150/wk)with the expectations of attending 1 staff meeting a week, co-leading rehearsal time (currently Thursday evenings), and Sunday mornings. We are specifically seeking someone with a strong vocal ability as well as a passion for leading worship, instrumental expertise a plus. Obviously you must have a growing relationship with Christ, as well as the qualities of a Biblical Leader found in 1 Tim 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5:2.
