New Venture Christian Fellowship is looking for someone who brings a heart for people, strong organizational and administrative gifts and ministry experience in building a mega-church’s Small Group Network. Requires strong networking skills and the drive to connect people throughout the church. Must be able to accept the challenge and produce an ever growing number of home group leaders and coaches, which serve as the central relationship-building and teaching mechanism of New Venture Christian Fellowship.

The Pastor of Small Groups is a ministry leader tasked with the responsibility and commitment to recruit, train, deploy, monitor and nurture an ever-growing number of small group leaders and coaches who will run a small group program as established by NVCF and small group structured.

The Pastor of Small Groups will work under the direct supervision of NVCF’s Pastor of Administration & Follow-Up Ministries and in harmony with other staff members and ministry team leaders in fulfilling the church’s mission and vision as established by the Senior Pastor, accepting the vital leadership role to initiate and offer coaching, organization, and support for a thriving ministry to NVCF.

The Small Group Ministry of NVCF is the central connection/relationship building/teaching mechanism in fulfilling the second of NVCF’s 3-fold mission which is to:

REACH… People for Christ (Celebration Services)
TEACH… People the Things of Christ (NVCF Small Groups)
RELEASE…People to the Work of Christ

The method of teaching in the Small Groups is sermon-based. All ministry large group teaching culminates in offering placement in Small Groups for further instruction on the respective subject.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Small Group Department:

The Pastor of Small Groups will meet a minimum of 2 times a week with the Small Groups Coordinator.

Small Groups Vision & Growth:

Provide a strategic plan for the immediate and future growth of Small Groups within our ministry, with the goal of having a Small Group available for every member of our church body.

Small Group Coaches:

Oversee recruitment of coaches who have responsibility over 5 small group leaders.

Small Group Leaders:

Oversee recruitment of Leader(s) for Small Groups, providing monthly training.

Training & Equipping Coaches/Leaders:

Oversee ongoing training meetings for coaches and leaders every three weeks, influencing & developing additional leaders into NVCF Small Groups network.

Tracking System:

Development of a tracking system to monitor ongoing Small Groups and keep track of growth and health of all ministry Small Groups on a weekly basis.
