Job Description:
NorthView Christian Church is a non-denominational, contemporary, evangelical church. We average a total of 500-600 people in attendance per weekend. Our children's, middle school, and high school ministries average approximately 250 students per weekend.

We are dedicated to developing fully devoted followers of Christ. Connect, Grow, and Serve are our core values.

We are located in a rapidly growing Northeast Suburb of Atlanta (Gwinnett County). Three very large county high schools are located within 5 miles of our church. Two of these were built within the last 5 years, and one has been the largest high school in the state for most of its existence (current enrollment of 3,463). There are also many new and growing private schools located nearby.

We are searching for a full time high school student ministry pastor who models a growing relationship with Christ and is called to Student Ministry. The Student Pastor shall be a well-trained professional, committed to Jesus Christ and to ministry with students and their families. The Student Pastor shall strive to build and maintain personal relationships with students to help cultivate their walk with Christ and to become devoted Christ-followers. The Student Pastor shall possess the administrative skills necessary to perform his or her duties and carry out details, as well as the interpersonal, relational skills for working with students and adults within the church.

Job Description:

Ministry Oversight
-Oversee the development and ongoing ministry to high school students
-Oversee the development and facilitation of monthly activities, fall and spring weekend retreats, summer camp, Sunday Worship, Wednesday Small Groups, and missions projects and trips for students

Leadership Development
-Provide vision, direction, and oversight to the student ministries leadership team
-Recruit and equip volunteer ministry leaders for high school ministries
-Partner with parents to facilitate the spiritual growth of students
-Provide shepherding and spiritual encouragement to ministry leaders
-Develop a team approach to ministry within each area of responsibility

-Ensure the student/volunteer safety policy is adhered to.
-Develop and maintain healthy team relationships with pastors, directors, church staff, and ministry leaders through relationship building, attendance at weekly staff meetings and other meetings as necessary

-Ensure that biblical and relevant teaching is provided throughout student ministry
-Encourage teaching that is “life changing” rather than merely informational
-Provide teacher training as appropriate

Personal Growth
-Maintain a growing relationship with the Lord that includes regular prayer, worship, and reading of the Word
-Continue to develop leadership gifts as well as an understanding of student ministry and next generation worship through on-going training

- Bachelor's degree (preferably a Bible College degree)
- Experience in student ministry and leadership development is preferred
