Job Description:
Director/Pastor of Children’s Ministries – Grace Fellowship Church Shrewsbury Campus

To provide a place of warmth, safety, security and spiritual growth for children from Infants through 5th grades, while developing a team of leaders within the ministry.

Who We Are:
Grace Fellowship Church is a multi-campus, contemporary church with campuses in Timonium, MD, (main campus), Federal Hill (downtown Baltimore City), and Shrewsbury, PA. Our strategies and plans are informed by four core commitments: To see people transformed by God’s presence, to build healthy, authentic relationships that draw others closer to God, to serve the poor and unreached, and to empower the next generations.

The Shrewsbury Campus:
This campus was started in October of 2007. For most of that time, it has met at Shrewsbury Elementary School and has grown to about 400 in regular adult attendance. This campus just moved into 35,000 square feet of newly renovated space in a former K-Mart located just off I-83 in Shrewsbury.

What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who loves children, who’s enthusiasm and creativity fuel their vision for ministry. They love to be part of a team that works together to share the story of Christ with children of all ages. Of course, strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to lead, delegate, and work with volunteers are required. Good communication skills, both with children and families are essential, as well as the ability to have fun and enjoy the ride.

The Director of Children's Ministry at the Shrewsbury Campus is responsible for all aspects of children’s ministry, including weekend services, weekday programming, and summer activities. The Director works in collaboration with the Campus Pastor and is supported by global church resources located at the Timonium campus. The Director is responsible for building a lay powered ministry by recruiting and training volunteers and leaders, as well as communicating regularly and effectively with families.

Three years or more experience in children’s ministry is required.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
