Job Description:
Woodmen Valley Chapel, an evangelical, interdenominational, multi-campus church with an average weekend attendance of 6000 is seeking a full-time Director of Elementary and Rockrimmon (RR) Children’s Ministries to oversee all areas of Children’s Ministries on the RR Campus and Elementary Ministries on both campuses.

Summary of Position:
The Director of Elementary and Rockrimmon (RR) Children's Ministries has ministry building and supervisory responsibilities. He/she provides direction, training and support for Children's Ministries, and is responsible for short- and long-range planning in line with WVC's vision. The Director of Elementry and RR Children's Ministries oversees all areas of Children's Ministries on the RR Campus and Elementary Ministries on both campuses. He/she co-leads and works in conjunction with the Director of Early Childhood and Woodmen Heights (WH) Children's Ministries in overseeing the WVC Children's Programs. This full-time position reports to an Executive Pastor.

II. SPECIFIC Responsibilities:
* Co-leads the WVC Children's Ministries with the Director of Early Childhood and WH Children's Ministries
* Coaches, encourages, supervises and develops the members and ministries of Children's Ministries; facilitates coordination, communication, accountability and evaluation of staff within Children's Ministries
* Has full knowledge of Children’s Ministries in order to serve leaders, Ministry Partners and parents; maintains consistency within Elementary Children’s Ministries at both the RR and WH campuses, while overseeing the RR Campus Birth through 5th grades
* Co-oversight of the development and implementation of policies and procedures and all trainings for Children’s Ministries
* Co-oversight of the calendar, budget and purchases of Children’s Ministries
* Co-oversight of the Communications and Creative Programming Coordinator, the AWANA Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
* Co-leads weekly Children’s Ministries staff meeting and monthly team meetings
* Supervises and schedules weekend programs, in conjunction with the Coordinators and Division Leaders
* Rotates during weekend services to ensure quality and performance of staff/Ministry Partners at each service time (discipline and teaching standards) for Children’s Ministries, serving 3 weekends/month at RR; 1 at WH
* Interviews, hires, dismisses and evaluates Children’s Ministries staff for Elementary Nursery payroll Coordinators and Division Leaders
* Keeps up-to-date on curriculum and Children’s Ministries procedures through research and networking
* Oversees, trains and schedules elementary GOOYWATS and Techs for the RR campus
* Develops a ministry to 4th and 5th graders, coordinating for both campuses
* Oversees organization and coordination of weekly curriculum planning for Elementary Children’s Ministries, and monthly/quarterly events including Christianity 101, Divorce Care 4 Kids, Take-It-Home Events; is familiar with the Early
* Childhood Curriculum in order to facilitate it at the RR campus
* Maintains specified weekly office hours
* Other duties as requested

III. Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree; a degree from a seminary or Bible college is desired
* 3-5 years paid experience working in Children's Ministries in a church setting
* Experience in supervising and managing leaders
* Experience in education and curriculum development
* Experience working with children, and the ability to positively interact with staff, children, parents, and Ministry Partners
* Excellent administrative skills
* A desire to work with children and see that they receive every opportunity to have a solid foundation and receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior at an early age
* Computer skills with proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the Internet
* Ability to work well with pastoral teams to integrate ministry to children with other church ministries
* Ability to recruit, motivate and support individuals in ministry and group activities
* Self-motivated and visionary
* Ability to manage time well
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* An ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through regular prayer, Bible study and worship attendance
* A member of WVC who supports its vision and values, as well as contributes time and tithes
* Physical Requirements
* Ability to retrieve and transport 35 lbs
* Reliable transportation
