We are musically diverse and creative in our approach to worship. We use current songs to reinforce and support the Pastor’s message and theme of the service.

Job Description -
The Worship and Music Pastor responsibilities include; Plan and lead Sunday Worship and Wednesday Worship services in conjunction with the senior Pastor; Oversee technical and media support for worship services; Provide pastoral care and leadership in the Praise Band, Praise Vocalists, Choir, instrumentalists, soloists and ensembles, including recruiting, conducting, rehearsing and programming; Plan, develop and oversee seasonal presentations and oversee the Worship and Music department budget, organization and volunteers.

Other Duties -
Overseeing and growing the elements of the Worship and Music ministry; helping with Youth or Children's Worship.

Attributes of the Qualified Person -
The person should have a pastor's heart that is humble, confident, compassionate, good with people, with a love for God. The person should be of like faith; have an enthusiastic ability to lead others into worship; at ease in public prayer; attuned to the Holy Spirit; and, able to teach. The person should be a self-starter, creative and spontaneous in worship.

Education -
Some formal music education is required.

Skills -
The position requires the ability to communicate with and motivate others; the ability to take the current team consisting of a Worship Choir, Praise Team, and Praise Band (including a brass section) to the next level. This person must have great stage presence and the ability to create flow in the service with excellent transitions. The person must have vocal and instrumental skills and a working knowledge of keyboards. This position requires the ability to lead and develop non-musical worship ministries which include audio/visual and drama. The person must have knowledge of audio/sound/video systems and associated computer technologies.

Experience -
Must have at least 3 years of successful experience as a worship/music pastor/leader where experience was with blended and contemporary music and worship.

Family -
Ideally, we would like someone who is married and whose marriage reflects church values. If married, the spouse's faith and participation in church will be a factor to be considered.

Our Church -
HSBC began in October 2002 as a new church with a new desire to reach the lost, love the unwanted, and to make and mature disciples. We are unique in our area in that we offer something for everyone. Our congregation is made up largely of people who are centered in Baptist theology. Age groups are: 0 - 20 (29.68%); 21-40 (20.17%); 41-60 (28.53%); and Over 60 (21.61%)

Our Worship -
Our worship is contemporary, incorporating media and graphics into our services. Our theology is conservative.

Services -
We currently have two Sunday Morning Worship services and one Wednesday Worship service.

Our Community -
Holly Springs is a beautiful rural community in the East Texas pineywoods northeast of Nacogdoches. Situated near the soon to be completed Lake Naconiche, Holly Springs offers country living to local residents as well as to others from nearby Nacogdoches, Appleby, and Garrison, Texas.
