Job Description:
Heritage Baptist Church, located near the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Johnson City, TN, is looking for a qualified applicant for its new administration & ministries coordinator. We're looking for a high-energy Christian individual who subscribes unreservedly to the Baptist Faith & Message (BF&M) 2000 ( Applicants must be self-motivated, effective, results-oriented, and a leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A 4-year or greater degree is preferred, and experience in the following is required:

Supervising and organizing staff;
Coordination of ministry teams to achieve a common goal;
Working with and managing volunteers;
Computer usage: word processing, email, spreadsheets, internet;
Basic business principles (accounting, finance, human resources).

The candidate's PRIMARY concern should be for spreading the gospel to the lost.

The basic responsibilities are:

Working closely with the Sr. Pastor in ongoing development of the church's strategic plan (incl. church's mission and vision);
Coordinating activities of all church personnel while ensuring that resources and manpower are being used efficiently;
Promoting communication and act as liaison between all staff members;
Supervising ministerial staff, finance director, secretaries, and janitorial staff;
Preparing periodic performance reviews of staff in conjunction with Sr. Pastor;
Supervising and coordinating all human resource functions of the church;
Managing scheduling and usage of church property assets;
Managing property of the church, including coordinating building programs with maintenance and cleaning operations;
Supervising and coordinating marketing and public relations efforts of the church;
Staying abreast of church-related issues and legislation that may affect the church.
