Director of High School Ministries

Our Director of High School Ministries is called to lead and sustain a biblically grounded, Christ-centered ministry to high school students in our community. Our aim is to give students opportunities to experience, embrace, and then extend the truth and love of Jesus Christ. Community Presbyterian Church in Danville is a strong, evangelical congregation striving to see people meeting Christ. We are engaged in our missional calling to impact our local community with the gospel as well as to support God’s work around the world. This is also a church that believes in the vital importance of student ministries.

Personal Qualities That Would Make a Great Fit for this Position

- Experience leading in ministry
- Confidence in programmatic planning and team management
- A relational philosophy of ministry with a missional outlook
- An evangelical, reformed theology

Primary Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing dynamic weekly programs to foster spiritual growth
- Planning and leading camps, retreats, mission trips, and special events
- Recruiting, training, and motivating a team of adult volunteers, especially in their role as small group leaders
- Leading and developing interns toward greater leadership in ministry
- Planning curriculum and presenting relevant biblical messages

Secondary Responsibilities
- Adhering to CPC’s personnel guidelines
- Managing the calendar of events and the budget for the ministry
- Connecting with students relationally for discipleship and support
- Meeting with other staff and leaders for ongoing encouragement and guidance
- Attending and supporting department meetings, training events, church staff meetings
- Maintaining effective communications with students, leaders, and parents and help promote the visibility of your ministry to the congregation
- Seeking your own personal growth spiritually and professionally
- Working collaboratively with other departments of the church
- Performing other duties as assigned

Position Details
This is a full-time salaried position
Benefits include medical, dental, vision
Vacation includes two weeks of paid leave per year
We also offer support for seminary coursework, covering tuition for one class per quarter
This position reports to the Pastor for Student Ministries under the oversight of the elder for Student Ministries
