This Position Is: Part Time/Full Time

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Department: Worship and Arts

Staff Supervisor: Rector

Primary Purpose of Position:
Develop, coordinate and guide a comprehensive Music and Arts Ministry for children, youth and adults in a liturgical Anglican church setting where both traditional and contemporary music styles are embraced.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan, organize and rehearse worship music with adult choirs for Sundays, Holy Days, and Seasons of the Liturgical Calendar
2. To broaden and deepen the congregations weekly worship experience through music and arts
3. Continue to build and develop the Chancel Choir
4. Recruit, hire and supervise choir section leads
5. Organ and/or keyboard skills preferred
6. Ability to network with local collegiate and professional music and arts community to broaden and develop the ministry
7. Work with appropriate committees, vestry and clergy to carry out the Music and Arts ministry of the church
8. Attend staff meetings and retreats

4. Require a degree in Music (advanced degree preferred)
5. Demonstrable musical proficiency and excellence in choral music and organ/piano performance

9. Proficient with verbal and written communication
10. Servant’s heart
11. Team Player
