St. James Presbyterian Church in Littleton, CO is seeking a Contemporary Worship Leader for our 10:45 Sunday morning service.
The CWL will be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and one who is dedicated to leading people beyond a performance and into an authentic and holy worship of the living God. St. James is seeking a worship leader who can connect with worshippers across generations and musical styles. We seek an artist who can employ and utilize multiple styles, genres, technologies, and forms of music that aid in worship. Our finalist will continue to grow and develop along with St. James.
Therefore, we seek one who:
> Is committed to living as a growing follower and representative of Jesus Christ with a commitment to the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27)
> Is a person of high moral character, integrity, and compassion
> Has a strong vision for music and arts in worship and is able to work in a variety of musical styles appropriate to both liturgical and contemporary worship services, as well as be able to utilize creative and visual arts, including drama and multimedia
> Has a proven leadership ability to facilitate growth toward spiritual maturity and artistic excellence among all members of the worship and arts program
> Has a proven ability in the development and management of a music and arts program with the goal of advancing a program-wide, Christ-centered ministry consistent with the St. James mission statement
> Has effective oral and written communication skills, including good facilitator skills
> Is a solid decision maker who listens well, gathers necessary information, makes timely decisions, acts accordingly, and is effective in leading/influencing others both as a member of a team and as a team leader
