Hill Country Bible Church Georgetown is a grace-oriented, Bible believing church committed to reaching every man, woman, boy and girl in Georgetown, TX with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ.
We are prayerfully seeking a man who has a passion for connecting with God through worship and inspiring others to do the same. This person must have a strong, vibrant walk with the Lord as he will serve as a spiritual and relational leader within the worship ministry - helping his teams grow in their areas of skill and service, as well as in the area of taking their next step spiritually.
This position will require a dynamic leader who is creative and organized. The person must have strong upfront skills and a proven ability to personally lead people into worship. The ability to lead a team of musicians is a must, coupled with the ability to lead vocally. Since we have a blended service (hymns and older praise songs) and a contemporary service (modern praise songs), an appreciation of and giftedness in a variety of musical styles is a must. Since we intend to reach all generations with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ, we also want someone who is willing and able to express worship to God in new and creative ways, including the visual arts.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of working well with people, as he will be responsible for recruiting and empowering volunteers. He must also be a team player with a passion for the overall vision of the church and agreement with our doctrine and philosophy of ministry.
The Worship Pastor is responsible for coordinating all the worship service elements into one cohesive plan. The goal is to help facilitate authentic worship where there is a high anticipation of the active power and presence of God. Our desire is for each person to connect with God in a unique way, every time we gather.
In addition to the primary job of overseeing our worship ministry, this individual will spend 10-15 hours/week in a secondary area of ministry according to his gifting and passion.
