Job Description:
Hill Country Bible Church located in Pflugerville, Texas is a Non-Denominational Bible church that believes in and is based upon the historic Christian faith.

We are a member of the Association of Hill Country Churches with a commitment to strategically reach every man, woman and child in the Greater Austin Area with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. As an association we have 19 churches committed to this vision through multiplying disciples, planting churches and partnering with like-minded ministries. We’re looking for a man who shares our vision of reaching every man, woman and child in our city and who particularly owns a passion for seeing students in our church take ownership of their faith so that they will take ownership of reaching their campuses with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. This would include:

To partner with parents to provide effective, creative and unifying leadership for a ministry to the Middle School and High School students which will emphasize both evangelism and discipleship in the church and in the community at large and at the same time support the family unit.

1. Responsible to develop an overall student ministry that strives to build committed followers of Jesus Christ in the next generation.

2. Responsible to invest in and train parents in skills that will better enable them to lead their families to live for Christ and lead a missional life-style in the midst of the pressures on students.

3. Responsible to work as a team player in cooperation with other ministries in the church.

4. Responsible to lead and continually develop a volunteer Student Ministry leadership team.

A. To develop a ministry that targets students in each of the five levels of spiritual engagement and helps them facilitate growth steps: Community, Crowd, Congregation, Committed and Core.

B. To plan, organize and lead semester big events to supplement the ongoing ministry objectives. Examples of events would be a week-long summer camp, weekend retreats, local outreaches and mission trips.

C. To learn the culture of Junior High and High School students in our city in order to more strategically plan for mission, discipleship and growth.

D. To develop and lead a balanced ministry environment that would provide opportunities for evangelism, application-oriented Bible teaching, personal discipleship, and group fellowship for students.

E. To recruit, train and shepherd an adult leadership team who models commitment, and who will teach and disciple students.

F. To yearly evaluate progress, expansion and direction of the overall student ministry with the Family Ministry Team Lead.

A. To coach 3-5 adult small group leaders.

B. To pray faithfully and consistently for all the members of the pastoral staff.

C. To be available to perform pastoral counseling, weddings, funerals, and teaching as necessary.

D. To prepare and administrate an annual budget and perform administrative responsibilities as they pertains to this ministry.

E. To perform assigned projects from the Family Ministry Team Lead or Lead Pastor.
