The full time Worship Arts Director will recruit; develop vocalists and instrumentalists for current Praise Band and future teams. It would be desirable if candidate has formal training and proficiency in music, as well as experience and technical support skills (sound, lighting, computer, and video). We would prefer candidate to lead the members of their team as a LifeGroup to connect, worship, grow & serve together. The Worship Arts Director will serve as the point-person to facilitate engaging worship opportunities for Sunday mornings and special events; select the set lists for each weekly message & coordinate the presentation of projected song lyrics on large screen using creative, engaging backgrounds. Candidate will also prepare the PowerPoint presentations for the weekly messages delivered by the pastoral team along with announcements.
*The Worship Arts Director will creatively coordinate, shoot, edit & produce short video segments for use in message illustrations, & various ministry teams including LifeGroups, Band of Brothers & Girlfriends. Creatively coordinate, shoot, edit & produce long video segments of messages shot both on-site & off-site.
*The Worship Arts Director will develop, maintain and manage the church website with current & relevant information. Serve as the facilitator of future drama outreach productions. Have oversight of all special events where music, audio and visual support is required. Manage the Worship Arts Ministry budget, equipment & resources.
*The Worship Arts Director will work with preaching team to develop and oversee the creative elements for staging and is responsible for creating a worshipful atmosphere supporting the weekly sermon series. Candidate will also provide audio and sound support for weddings and funerals, etc.
*Ability to walk on water optional
Education & Experience Required:
*Bachelor’s degree in music or related ministry field or equivalent knowledge & experience (i.e. ability to read & teach music) must demonstrate high degree of instrumental & vocal proficiency. Ability to lead with guitar and/or keyboard is essential.
*Candidate must be a person of strong Christian faith & character with a desire to serve God through vocational ministry in the local church.
*Minimum of 1-2 years experience leading worship in a church setting of 350+ in weekly attendance.
*Candidate should be skilled in leveraging audio visual technology used for worship experiences including multi-media & video production (Pro-presenter; Garage Band and Final Cut Pro Mac based programs); sound board proficiency, worship software proficiency, lighting proficiency & stage design.
*A servant’s heart who leads with humility. A passion for ministry with a “whatever it takes attitude” to get the job done. We’d prefer an effective communicator who compels & leads people to encounter God in corporate worship. A forward thinker who exhibits discernment & restraint when necessary.
*A team player who works closely with the pastoral team to develop an engaging, inspiring atmosphere for learning about GOD and worshipping Him--communicating the truth of God’s timeless message to today’s generation. A sense of humor that reflects authenticity & transparency. A High degree of creativity is essential.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and education ($40-60,000) per year
