Job Description:
SouthField Community Church is located in Channahon, Illinois (population 12,000), approximately one hour southwest of Chicago, near the interchange of Interstates 80 and 55. The village experienced rapid growth in the past decade and is poised for greater expansion.

Our church relocated to Channahon in September 2008. We own 14-acres of property on Route 6, about two minutes from our current location at Channahon Junior High School.

Our facility provides plenty of space and opportunities for growth. Highlights include a vibrant Sunday morning worship experience, journey groups, excellent ministries for children and junior high students, enthusiastic volunteer involvement and a unified leadership team with a clear vision and direction for the future.

The church is primarily composed of younger families, many with teenagers. Our church's age demographic is a clear representation our of community, and the potential for outreach is huge. Several thousand students are served by our community's high schools and junior highs.

We are searching for a gifted person to lead our student ministries.

This leader must be faithful, flexible, fearless, fun and focused on building an effective ministry for students in our community.

High on our list of priorities is a builder who is excited about serving in an "outside of the box" environment. A candidate needs to demonstrate a proven track record of growing a healthy ministry for students. Creativity and passion are essential. Hard work is a must...we'll provide the fun!

If you are interested in exploring this position, please email a resume, including references, as well as a weblink of yourself clearly demonstrating your interaction with students.

We like media and cyberspace. The more you can include, the better...whether a website, blog, Facebook, YouTube, images...forward it to us.

Include anything that you think will give us a great impression of your ministry style.
