Job Description:
Hillwood Chapel is located in a suburb of Akron,Ohio and moved to our present location in 1994. Besides Sunday Morning worship, we have Sunday School classes, small groups that meet through out week ie. youth group, ladies prayer group. Hillwood uses the King James Version of the Bible. While we fully embrace new choruses, we love to sing the old hymns of the faith, leading us to a blended worship style.

Hillwood Chapel is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our church to fulfill the purpose that the Lord has called us, namely to pursue him with passion as we make disciples. The role of the senior pastor is vital to this endeavor. Through the teaching of God's Word and living a life that illustrates his lordship, the pastor can glorify God and lead others to glorify God as well.

The Bible speaks clearly in Eph 4 that the role of the pastor-teacher is to equip the saints to do the work on the ministry. The Bible is also clear on the character qualifications of elders (pastors) in 1Tim. 3 and Titus 1. Hillwood seeks a godly man, who loves the Word of God, who gives himself to prayer and who loves his flock, to join our Elder Board as they implement the vision of equipping the saints. The Pastor will have a significant input in determining the vision and direction of the church. The Pastor and the Elders will work hand in hand to achieve all that God has in store for the church.

Basic Positions Qualifications:
* Education-M. Div or equivalent seminary degree
* Pastoral experience - preferred though not required. Seeking a candidate with some ministry experience.
* Giftedness--spiritual of pastor/teacher (Eph 4)
* Character--meets the spiritual qualifications of 1Tim 3 and Titus 1
