History of Position (who has filled it in the past, why are they no longer in that role?)
Calvary has consistently had various people in this role as a full time staff position for 10 yrs - til 2008. The role has been filled by part-time staff and members of the worship team for the last 14 months. The most recent transition was a mutual decision on the part of both the Senior and the Music Pastor that it was a good time for a change.

Brief history of the church
Calvary is an established, 58 year old, Assemblies of God congregation. We are multi-generational, but have a strong emphasis on ministry to children and youth. Calvary's history has been pretty interesting at times (financial struggle, moral failure, church split) but the past 12 years have been stable. Doug Clay was pastor from 1997-2004 leading through a time of great health. Chad Gilligan became pastor in 2004. In 2008 the church paid off their long-standing mortage and is now debt-free. This has opened up the opportunity for ministry to move forward in new ways.
