Job Description:
If you’re looking to coast in a comfortable ministry, if you’d rather look the other way than embrace a challenge, and if you want to live in a part of the United States that embraces all things evangelical – then this job is not for you. However, if you are looking for the opportunity of a lifetime on the mission field of New England, then please read on.

Walnut Hill Community Church is located in upper Fairfield County, Connecticut, a true conduit between the bustle of New York City and the uniqueness of New England. Known for its affluence, Connecticut is also one of the most incredible ministry locations in the United States. The people of Walnut Hill know this and consider it a privilege to serve as pioneers for the message of Christ. Each of our senior staff, called here from all regions of this country and this world, believes his or her job is a true calling, and is dedicated to revealing Christ in a place often thought of as “lost.” The person right for this position will embrace this same calling.

Walnut Hill is a church committed to our mission, In Jesus, Called Together, Being Transformed, Changing our World and our core values: praying without ceasing, living intentionally in the world around us, giving ourselves away in service, and loving one another. We are a growing congregation, currently welcoming more than 1,800 congregants to our six worship services each weekend in the greater Danbury community.

We are seeking a strong leader with the ability to cast vision, as well as plan and implement innovative ministry relevant to today’s children and their parents. Passion and skills to oversee and develop staff and lay leadership that will be committed to helping children establish deep roots of faith is paramount. Applicant must demonstrate enthusiasm and strong work ethic.

It is expected that the candidate will have an unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ demonstrated through personal Christian maturity. Someone with a B.A. in children's ministry or a related discipline and with significant experience in children's ministry leadership is preferred.
