The Interactive Systems Manager is responsible for taking Christ Fellowship websites, web-based applications, and social media projects from ideation to discovery, design, development, implementation, promotion, and maintenance. This position works with the communication team to collaborate with and lead visual designers, content developers, programmers, and ministry partners/volunteers to provide online interactions with Christ Fellowship based on user-centric technology. The Interactive Systems Manager reports to the Director of Information Systems.

Requirements/Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 5-8 years experience developing creative solutions for web and interactive media; expert proficiency in electronic design techniques.
• A thorough understanding of Agile Development, MVC Architectures, Web Services, Information Architecture, User-Centered Design, Search Engine Optimization, Social Networking and Social Media, Live and On-Demand Video Streaming, Blogging and Micro-blogging, Personalization, and Web Analytics is required. Must be familiar with Apple OS X, Unix, Linux or other X variants; able to read source code and create simple scripts and automation.
• Must have a thorough understanding of the whole web technology stack, including a) experience programming with scripting languages like PHP, Python, Ruby, and Perl, b) designing or maintaining MYSQL and Postgresql databases, c) familiarity with Apache web server optimization and caching, and d) web interface techniques such as AJAX, sIFR, Canvas, and Flash.
• Must be proficient in web-based research in the areas of network protocols, open source platforms, and emerging digital community trends.
• Must have excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills to create solutions to complex problems. Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution. Able to analyze requirements and quickly create written proposals for solutions and convert to prototypes.
• Able to accomplish assigned projects utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, time-management, and collaboration skills.
• Able to perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines. Must be able to work productively in a 7X24X365 deadline driven environment.
• Able to think strategically while staying focused on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.
• Able to handle confidential matters and material with excellence.

Responsibilities:

Relational Duties
• Establish and maintain relationships with Core Directors, Campus Pastors, and Executive Team.
• Generate appropriate communication to keep stake-holders and users informed and involved.
• Build and lead ministry partner/volunteer teams focused on SEO, social media marketing, and support of participants in weekend experience.
• Promote and oversee strategic relationships with external entities such as vendors and partner organizations. Assist with client/vendor negotiations.
• Build and lead volunteer teams focused on Data Quality participant support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technical Duties

• Consult with all ministry and support teams to analyze goals and objectives and prepare discovery documents showing recommended workflow or process improvements and/or technology solutions.
• Provide design and document systems and databases so work can be outsourced to vendor partners.
• Use diagnostic tools to monitor and troubleshoot emerging or sudden problems.
• Create technical and end-user documentation and training.
• Monitor and analyze production environment to develop plans to improve service availability, capacity and reliability; includes implementing monitoring and intrusion detection software.
• Insure compliance with internal policy and all regulatory standards such as PCI Compliance, COPPA, and HIPPA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Management Duties

• Participate in the recruitment, development, and retention of “people” assets within the interactive arena; both paid and unpaid resources.
• Manage a portfolio of technology projects, including planning, management and implementation.
• Act as lead Project Manager on complex projects involving integration of multiple technologies and/or disciplines
• Recommend policies, procedures, and processes to optimize the use of technological assets.
• Establish and maintain goals and objectives for the team under his/her leadership.
• Resolve complex content problems within our Content Management System.
• Other duties as assigned.
