Munds Park Community Church is a Spirit-filled congregation and will be looking for a Senior Pastor who is as well. The skills required of the Senior Pastor include being a man of God, with an uplifting ability to preach to our congregation the graces and gifts of our Father up in Heaven, the salvation in Christ as bestowed upon us as the everlasting gift from God. The Holy Trinity in all its glory, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as they relate to the church and our lives. The one way to Heaven through Jesus Christ our Savior in his redeeming graces as bestowed upon us as forgiveness for our sins through His sacrifice on the cross. Our pastor should be a man of faith able to guide the congregation and outreach to the community, bringing us into the glory of faith and the belief in Christ (Redeem), to equip the congregation with the tools and knowledge and faith to grow and reach out with our gifts given to us by the Father (Empower), and to rejoice in the Lord, the Holy Trinity, and the Christian Church in all of its gifts and graces and to be a shining light for others to see the way (Proclaim). The Senior Pastor will be our leader, our teacher, our counselor, our shepherd. The Senior Pastor will be the head of our Church in administrative duties as well as a permanent member of our Board of Elders.

Munds Park Community Church is a Non-Denominational Church.
Community Information:

Munds Park is a rural community with approximately 3/4 homes being vacation homes and summer homes. A full service world class golf course and country club are available for members. There are a few retailers, local eateries and convenience stores located in Munds Park. Munds Park is located within 20 miles from Flagstaff, Arizona offering a full complement of medical, retail and food services. Flagstaff is also the home of Northern Arizona University. Munds Park’s altitude is 6800 feet above sea level. The average temperatures range from the low to mid 80’s in the summer months and the mid teens in the winter months. Munds Park and vicinity have four seasons of weather.

We have a congregation that is comprised of a small group of year round members and many seasonal visitors and members. During the summer months we have two services to accommodate the seasonal influx.

Ethnic Composition:

Majority ethnicity: Caucasian (95-98%)
Minor ethnicities include: Hispanic, African American, Asian, Other (2-5%)

Sunday school:

5 – 25 participants depending upon teacher availability.
All Ages

Youth Group:

Active dependant upon group leadership availability and potential for membership.

Ladies Fellowship:

Active. Bible studies, quilting, potlucks, woman’s study groups.

Men’s Fellowship:

Active depending upon leadership availability and congregation willingness.

Choir / Music:

Full choir during summer months with choir director. In the summertime we have an organist and or piano player and piano accompaniment only during winter months. The music style is blended traditional and praise.


Yearly VBS program consisting of 30-45 students and 30-40 volunteers.


We have a strong missionary emphasis. We have two ordained missionaries. We support faithworks, and other missions throughout the year and throughout the world.
Position Information:

Job Description – Senior Pastor Full Time Permanent

The Pastor is responsible to the church for providing spiritual and administrative leadership of the church. The Pastor will be required to use the gifts and graces bestowed upon him in proclamation and pastoral care to meet the needs of people in the church and community. The Senior Pastor must be a man of mature experience, in complete agreement with the doctrinal statement and practice of this church, and possess the qualifications described in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.


1. Provide Spiritual Leadership
Preach the Gospel, lead worship service, baptisms, funerals and weddings
Lead congregation to grow in faith and to love one another
Encourage and facilitate stewardship and missions activities

2. Provide Pastoral Leadership and Pastoral Care
Visit those in need.
Lead and train lay persons willing to serve the will of God
Councel members and others in times of crisis
Provide pastor led training classes

3. Provide Outreach Leadership
Train and encourage lay persons to perform outreach activities to bring the word of God to the un-churched
Guide the un-churched into faith and the acceptance of God’s graces
Lead Church in planning outreach activities
Maintain ongoing relationships with missionary activities and entities

4. Provide Administrative Leadership
Serve as Pastor on all Boards of Elders
Lead church in developing church programs
Lead church to elect workers as needed
Train officers and workers as needed
Plan monthly / annual calendar
Assist in developing policies, procedures, and yearly budget
Assist in the decision making process for daily business operations
Perform membership classes
Supervise employees and contract labor
