Job Description:
Located in San Antonio, Texas, Valley Hi Assembly of God is a Spirit-filled church whose mission is “Changing Lives for Eternity”. San Antonio is a culturally diverse area with a strong military influence. Valley Hi Assembly of God has a heart for the lost and a love for the Body of Christ. The church has experienced steady growth in recent years and is in the midst of expanding to a second location. We are missions-minded, both at home and abroad. We are seeking a passionate and anointed minister to join our pastoral staff to serve as a youth pastor. The pastor we are seeking will be a servant leader, able to direct and develop leaders and teams in the areas of his ministry. In the area of Youth Ministries the candidate will possess the desire and skills to reach out, disciple, and minister to the youth as well as recruit and train youth sponsors. As a member of the pastoral staff, the Youth Ministries Pastor will be culturally relevant and able to carry the vision of the senior pastor forward. Clearly, the ability to be a team builder, while being a team player is essential. He will be creative and progressive in style while at the same time be spirit-filled not only in doctrine, but in practice.

Requirements: Strong public communication skills College graduate preferred Leadership oriented ministry with team building abilities Discipleship oriented ministry Mature, self-motivated, self-managing, proven fiscal responsibility and detail oriented Applicant must possess cheerful, people oriented disposition, quality people skills, strong leadership abilities, flexibility, ability to work with and involve parents Strong knowledge of modern technology, including computers and audio/visual equipment preferred Previous successful experience in student ministries in the local church with strong connecting skills with Jr/Sr High students Ability to design and lead multiple youth ministries which include teaching, discipleship, evangelism, youth activities, fine arts, missions involvement and other relevant ministry applications Preferred credential minister with the Assemblies of God or similar doctrinal commissioning from another organization
