Job Description:

Our Director of Children's Ministry position is full-time and is open for immediate hire.

Leader Profile:
~Five years of experience in full-time church leadership is required
~A bachelor's degree with an accredited Christian college/seminary is preferred
~A background with the Christian Church/Restoration Movement is preferred
~Must be a leader who excels in building, inspiring, and developing a diversity of teams
~Must be self-motivated and committed to an authentic, transparent walk with Christ
~Must be creative and excel in planning ahead; must be committed to an “Orange” ministry philosophy
~Must have ministry experience that clearly demonstrates your ability to lead, train, and develop people

Our ministry to children and families is a priority. We implement and are committed to an “Orange” ministry philosophy integrating our ministry to children, students, and parents. We view ourselves as a partner with parents and as a resource in helping them to raise children who grow to know and love God and who honor Him with their lives. We seek to involve mentors to become partners with families as we mobilize the next generation to be the church.

The Children’s Director/Pastor's job is to invite and lead children and families into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by building and providing strategic leadership for a team of reproducing volunteers that passionately fulfills their vital ministry to children and families.

We are a growing church located in Midlothian, Virginia, a fast-growing, family oriented community 20 minutes west of downtown Richmond. Since 2004 our attendance growth rate has averaged 20% per year. Our niche is connecting with people who have been disinterested in the traditional church experience and helping them begin a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. As a church we lean away from complexity and towards simplicity. Within six miles of our campus there are 12 elementary schools with more than 9,500 students enrolled; four middle schools with more than 4,800 students enrolled; and five high schools with more than 8,500 students enrolled. Total enrollment is near 23,000 students (grades 1-12).

Compensation consideration will be given on education and previous ministry/job experience and performance. We also offer a competitive benefit package.
