Job Description:

Children’s Ministry Director - Horizon North County

Major Job Responsibilities:
Oversees daily operations of a large children’s ministry program. Responsibilities include scheduling of teachers and volunteer staff for five weekly services; organizing and helping oversee teacher training; interfacing with parents and volunteers; large event planning, organizing and implementing special events. Reports to Children’s Pastor/Assistant Pastor

Qualifications:
Strong commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 2+ years experience in children’s ministry. Related job experience or a combination of education and experience will be considered. Requires servant’s heart attitude and love of children of all ages. Strong people skills. Excellent management and organization skills, as well as knowledge in Microsoft Office/Excel software.

Character:
Discernment, gentleness, and spiritual maturity is a must. This position requires developing relationships with parents, children, and families, as well as displaying the heart of a shepherd, “Be an example to believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (I Tim. 4:12) This position requires endurance and faithfulness as well due to the amount of events, services, and organization needed.
