Job Description:
The Director of BranchKids will be part of a staff team committed to mutual love, respect and care. Therefore, the ability to collaborate and communicate within a team is essential. As a part of this team, the children’s director will help lead our community and its children into an ever-deeper love of God and others. This will happen not only on Sunday morning, but perhaps as importantly, with a parent at a coffee shop, during team building exercises, and while empowering a volunteer.

Your Responsibilities
Empower volunteers to lead in their areas of giftedness and passion.
Empower volunteers to increase their ownership of different parts of BranchKids.
Empower volunteers to make decisions, shape curriculum, have a voice.
Empower parents to be the primary teachers of their children.

Recruit and schedule volunteers.
Oversee the implementation of the curriculum on Sunday mornings.
Oversee and lead volunteers in caring for children with special needs.
Work with parents and volunteers to work through any disciplinary issues.
Revise the registration process as necessary.
Develop policies that ensure the safety of our children.
Train and unify the team of volunteers.

Experience Leading - the well-qualified applicant will have had experience leading and empowering others, preferably in an environment that included the care of children.
