Immanuel Lutheran Church,
I. Position: Youth and Young Adults Minister
II. Job Goal: To provide Christian leadership, programming, inspiration, and direction to the Youth and Young Adults Program at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Easton.
III. Work Schedule:
A. Twelve month employment.
B. Two weeks paid vacation.
C. Worship services where youth and young adults are present.
D. 10 to 15 hours per week. Flexible to the needs of the programming and recognize that the amount of time each week may vary.
E. Special programs and events.
F. Two weeks paid sick leave.
G. Monthly salary based on experience-housing may be available.
IV. Specific Job Responsibilities Include:
A. Leading the high school youth group: Weekly gatherings and quarterly special events
B. Leading the young adults group: Sunday mornings and occasionally special events and gatherings.
C. Submitting regular monthly articles for the monthly newsletter. Using the articles to encourage, enrich and educate the congregation concerning the youth and young adults program at Immanuel.
D. Meeting with the advisory group on a regular basis and report to the Pastor.
E. Becoming involved in the lives of the youth in Easton as opportunities arise.
F. Working with Fresno State Lutheran Campus Ministry.
G. Providing reports to the monthly business meetings of the church.
H. Providing opportunities of service for the youth and young adults.
I. Building personal relationships with the youth and young adults.
V. Qualifications For The Position Include:
A. A commitment to Jesus Christ.
B. Experience in working with youth groups.
C. Fundamental understanding of the Bible and Lutheran theology
D. Administrative and office skills.
