Job Description:
The role of the Executive Pastor (“EP”) is to assist the Senior Pastor in vision/strategic development and to take over the primary responsibility in the day-to-day operational management of the church. The EP position allows the Senior Pastor to devote more time to preaching, teaching, writing, community building, spiritual mentoring and discipleship. With the input and oversight of the Senior Pastor, the EP will be responsible for the strategic planning process and will help implement the mission/vision of the church. The EP will also be responsible for finance, operations, facilities, systems, marketing, communications, and will oversee all multi-site planning and implementation, including developing the “core services” that all multi-site locations will tap into at the main campus. Various knowledge and abilities necessary are; a strong Christian faith and biblical foundation, a proven leader and strategic thinker, strong interpersonal skills, an effective communicator and encourager, posess very strong organization and management expertise, alytical and able to trouble shoot and problem solve, ability to understand and create systems—organizational, human resource, etc., competent in finances and budgeting processes, task oriented, motivated and energized by achieving results and an effective team leader and team builder.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in business-related field, ten years experience in managing a large church or equivalent corporate management experience, five years experience in a church setting (either on staff or in lay leadership role), a proven track record in church/corporate world, and proven experience in managing people/projects.
