Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Knoxville Tennessee is seeking a full-time Director of Recovery Ministry for a 6-year old Celebrate Recovery program. The church is approximately 4,000 members with an average attendance of 2800 weekly. It is the 15th largest United Methodist Church in America by attendance. Both traditional and contemporary worship opportunities are available. We will begin our third campus in September, 2009. The Celebrate Recovery program includes more than 400 active participants, a worship service with a contemporary band and small recovery groups weekly.
The successful candidate will have an obvious and observable commitment to Jesus Christ, a proven record of recovery from substance abuse issues, and a desire to help others in their recovery. Theological training consistent with United Methodist beliefs is preferable. This person will be a member of the church staff and must be a willing team player.

The cost of living in Knoxville is well below the national average.
