Are you passionate about Jesus, kids and empowering families? Ginghamsburg Children’s Ministry has a full-time position available that may be just for you. Applicants should hold a degree in education or a related field, have experience in program development as well as recruiting/managing and training, plus excellent communication and organizational skills. A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children is preferred.

Education & Experience:
=============================================
--Bachelor’s degree in administration or education related field
--Two years of supervision/management experience
--Experience working in multiple-staff management and organization
--Experience in a large church setting with children’s ministry
--Three years of experience working with children/families


Position Requirements:
=============================================
--Coordinator must complete 36 clock hours of continuing education as in-service annually
--Must complete a felony statement/background check
--Must hold current CPR certification or complete certification
--Must be certified in first-aid or complete certification

Goals:

--Ginghamsburg Children’s Ministry Coordinator works with our children’s ministry team to ensure that children, infants – grade 5, have many opportunities to increase their knowledge of the Lord and further deepen their relationship with Jesus.
--Our ministry will build partnerships with families and equip parents to teach faith at home.
--Our programs will exceed expectations in providing a safe environment and academic preparation, promotes Christian values, enhances character development and nurtures individual strengths and talents.


Responsible for:
=============================================
--Providing vision for Children’s Ministry within all programs, events and classes
--Recruiting new leaders/servants for ministry including teens and adults
--Supervision, development and discipleship of leaders/servants within a team-based ministry
--Developing new ministry opportunities for children
--Providing teacher training opportunities and equipping teams
--Equipping leaders with resources
--Organizing special events for families
--Assisting in grant writing toward continued educational planning and funding
--Teaming with Director of Children’s Ministry and Children’s Ministry Team in providing a “24/7 Outreach” for families
--Communication with Children’s Ministry staff, leaders, parents, Ginghamsburg staff and children
--Selection and implementation of curriculum
--Assisting in coordination of all weekend, evening and summer programming
--Developing new ministry opportunities for children and their families
--Assisting in workshop development/teaching at leadership conferences


Additional Responsibilities:

--Regional networking for information, ideas and strategic impact in Children’s Ministry
--Participation in Ginghamsburg leadership training and staff development
--Development of a personal plan for continued growth


Hours Required:
=============================================
This is full-time position including weekends and evenings.
